Jared A. Schneider has more than twelve years experience in civil litigation, having started with John Hoff's firm in 2007. He was subsequently admitted to the Illinois Bar and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois in 2008. Jared has extensive experience in all phases of federal and state court litigation. A significant part of Jared’s practice has been devoted to aviation insurance defense, aviation litigation and insurance disputes, drone law and contractual matters.
Jared also has extensive experience representing individuals and entities in FAA Enforcement Actions, including those involving Proposed Certificate Actions, Emergency Revocation Actions and Civil Penalty Actions. He frequently provides his clients with valuable advice on effective strategies for communicating with the FAA, like how one should respond to a FAA issued Letter of Investigation (LOI).
He also regularly provides advice and support for his client’s aviation business needs. Jared’s experience has involved drafting and negotiating aircraft sales agreements, aircraft rental agreements, aircraft management agreements, and dry and wet lease agreements, which he has performed for Part 141 flight schools, charter operations, other corporate aircraft owners and individual owners.
Jared has been a guest lecturer at The Center for International Law at the John Marshall School of Law School on Litigation and Aviation Tort issues. In addition, he is a member of AOPA, the Aviation Insurance Association, the Chicago Bar Association, a proud member of the CBA’s pro pono volunteer program and has served as a volunteer for Chicago's First Defense Legal Aid program. Jared also holds a third-class airman medical certificate and a student pilot certificate.
